I’ve been having this conversation with people over the last few weeks about Team Culture. What it takes to make it successful, what elements should go into it, who you should follow, etc, etc.
There are a few core elements to this discussion but one that I always like to remind myself of – developing that team culture where everyone gets along, works together, does more together than apart, knows where each are weak, others are strong and they work together to fill in the gaps – that team culture – it doesn’t happen all at once.
It doesn’t even happen over a few weeks.
It can take awhile. How long depends on a number of factors.
But it starts with a nudge, it starts with someone on your team, approaching another member of your team with an idea – “we should probably build our code this way” or “we should probably follow-up with customers after we talk with them.”.
It starts small and it grows from there with a nudge.
