Home, the office, the coffee shop.

You’re surrounded by noise.

I bought a decent pair of noise-canceling headphones over the summer (mainly because I was FINALLY tired of having wired headphones and decided to go wireless).

I love the moment when I put them on and it cancels out all ambient noise.

Sometimes I don’t even play music, I just work in a bubble.

It’s tricky at first because you’re constantly checking your phone to see if you missed something and then you realize it doesn’t matter if I did.

Quiet the noise, block it all out.

Or as Kevin Costner says – “Clear the Mechanism” – a great way to force yourself to get into the zone.
