Try a new thing it fails.

Start again it fails.

Start again and again it fails.

When we try to reform habits we always want to “Get it Right” this time and we “know more” than we did before so push ourselves harder, we institute more constraints, we push ourselves to do more and more hoping that the clicking moment will happen this time for sure.

The first step in any habit is showing up – are you getting there, are you putting in your time, are you present – if that’s not your first step, nothing else matters.

Master showing up first, then add more, but only after you’ve shown up, consistently, without thinking about it anymore, it’s become a habit and the question is no longer whether you are going to do it today but why would you not do it today?

Then add more.
