The hardest question you will be asked and there are so many ways to get there;

  1. Have a workshop – list everything out.
  2. Break into groups and build a focus around a problem.
  3. Ask each person what their Top 5 issues are, come back together, and go through them.
  4. Appoint someone to lead, give them your trust, and let them loose.
  5. Ask everyone to write a paper, and review the papers.
  6. Get anonymous suggestions from EVERY member of the team and then rank them on the board.
  7. Bring in a consultant, get them to tell you what you already know, and move forward.

All these suggestions can work, and there are more that you could probably think of.  In all of them, the goal is the same – getting everyone on the same page as to what the goal is you are trying to solve.

You can’t start till everyone is on the same page, otherwise you’ll never be able to truly get started.
