You’ll need to put in the effort. No one else will. It’s your dream, it’s your passion, it’s your idea. It’s all yours. Including the effort.
Your field is your job, your role, your team, what you do, what you deliver, what you bring to the table each and every day. You are the expert of your own field. You are the one best positioned to answer questions and figure out where to go next. You. No one else. You are the Expert of One, and that’s where it starts, believing that and knowing that.
If the same question is getting you the same answer – you’re good. If the same question is getting you different answers, there is a problem. Time to dig in and figure out what it is, because it should always be the same.
If you can’t explain it simply. You can’t explain it. If it’s complicated, simplify it, get it down to the base problem, put the symptoms aside and focus on the core of what you are doing.
If they don’t like your ideas, your implementation, what you bring to the table. Don’t give them any excuses. Implement it all. It’s hard to ignore the evidence when it’s working right in front of you.
