The Next Team Event

Have you scheduled it yet? Have you thought about it? Are you waiting for someone else to do it? What’s your Budget? Team events don’t need to be expensive, they can definitely be simple and their entire goal is to bring people together, have some laughs, and get to know each other better. Why was I Invited to this Meeting?

It’s a statement we often say to ourselves as we sit in a meeting that we aren’t speaking in and aren’t contributing too. As the meeting progresses, we say it more and more to ourselves, over and over again. It’d be rude to just get up and leave and call it a day (you wouldn’t do that in person, remotely, some might notice). The key is in evaluating next time and politely decline. Getting into the Creative Zone

I can get into the coding zone. I can get into the coaching zone. I can get into the process delivery zone. Building a Great Team is about finding complementary pieces that make your group stronger than if they were alone. You don’t need 4 full-stack developers, you need two front-end, a middle, and a back-end developer – and you don’t need to full those requirements with four AIs hoping they crank out something that is amazing.
