Do Not Disturb Makes a Comeback

The Hidden Value in Subtitles

Have you ever watched a show with subtitles? I have a hard time watching “dubbed” over shows, because the words never line up with the video, and my brain can’t unsee it when it happens. Plus, when you hear the original voices and then the dubbed ones, your brain also goes – “those original voices are so much better than these other ones, I like them better”. There it is, the truth, you will… always… miss… something. The goal is not to miss the big things, the things that matter most to you in life. It’s probably a combination of work and personal, as is the case with most everyone else. Missing a conference, missing a post, missing what someone else is doing. Playing at the Level You want to be At

If you want to play at the level you want to be at, you’re going to have to show up the way they do. Know the work. Know the industry. Know the team. Know the deliverables. And if you don’t know all those things, then you’re going to have to get learning to get up to speed. If you don’t want to do that work, that’s fine; you’re not ready to play at that level and can try again later.
